March Family Getaway

We started off our month of March with a soccer tournament for Brielle in Mesquite. It was a fun excuse to get out of dodge and have some family time. It was our first experience with an out of town soccer tournament and it was so much fun! It wasn't really just about the games played but so much fun for Brielle and her teammates to spend more time together. We stayed at the Best Western with another family on Brielle's team. It was fun for the kids to see them at breakfast in the morning and swim in between games. Beckham had a blast as well and made friends with siblings of Brielle's teammates.

From Mesquite we continued to head south and stayed with Preston and Melissa in Aliso Viejo. We stopped at Shake Shack in Vegas for lunch on the way. It was delicious and I can't wait to get another one of their cheeseburgers into my hands (and mouth!). We also had a random stop in some small town outside of Barstow called "Eddie's World". We never would have discovered it if it weren't for Brielle having to go pee. It was a kids dreamland in the middle of the ugly desert! Candy, ice cream and stuffed animals galore! Once we got to California we hung out at Preston and Melissa's house, played on Emerald Beach and ate the yummiest food! The weather was very cold and rainy but we still loved the beach! On our ride home we stopped at "Seven Magic Mountains" in Las Vegas. Its an outdoor art exhibit that will only be there for another year or two, so I was happy to finally see it and get some pictures. We finished off our trip with staying a night in St George. We hot tubbed and hiked through the red rocks. I always love our family trips together. We are all forced to be together with no outside distractions. Im always so impressed with how well Brielle and Beckham travel (which was not the case when they were babies!). Until our next family vacation...

 Shake Shack did not disappoint!

 Beautiful Emerald Bay

The kids finally got to surf! Or at least try too. The water was freezing!

Active Culture on the PCH is my new favorite food stop!
They begged us to spend $10 to jump on this. They loved it!

 Seven Magic Mountains

The hotel hot tub all to ourselves!
