Disney Cruise Day 3: Nassau & Pirate Night
This was a HUGE highlight of our trip. I have wanted to swim with dolphins since I was a kid and Im so glad I was able to experience this with my own kids! We took a fairy over to Blue Lagoon Island from our cruise port. Right when we got to the island we walked straight over to the dolphins and got in the water. Our dolphins name was Clifton and he was so cute! There were only 10 people to 1 dolphin which was nice (Especially for Clifton). He danced with us, kissed us, we got to feed him, rub his belly, touch his teeth and give him hugs. I decided to have Clifton kiss me in the picture so there would be no fighting or "that's not fair" talk between the kids. This picture will be one of my favorites forever!
Waiting to walk over to the fairy
Snapped a few pics on the fairy. See our cruise ship in the background?!
I love that Chase was able to observe and get some extra action shots of us with Clifton.
Buddy hugging his new buddy! And check out that smile on Brielle 💛
The rest of the day on the island was okay. It was not my favorite. It was very shallow water and not much to see snorkeling. The kids still had a blast though, we ate lunch on the island and then headed back to the ship.
When we arrived back to our room it was early evening/late afternoon and our room was already turned down for the night. Rey made a pirate out of our blanket with gold coins as the chocolate for the night. We also found our "Pirates of the Caribbean" bandanas waiting for us to wear to the pirate party.
The kids were exhausted and we still had a long night ahead. So we rested in our room and they enjoyed some room service in bed! This was also one of the highlights... ROOM SERVICE! We would order pie of the day, cake of the day, dessert of the day and all share. We even got Mickey Ice Cream bars a few times.
The party didn't start until 10:00 pm. Beckham has a hard time with late nights and I was so proud of him for hanging in there! We got lucky with a spot right in front of the stage and one of the cast members asked if he could highlight our family during the show. So a few minutes after it got started he came over to us, announced we were The Tandy Family from Utah and we got to dance with him. We were on the big screen for everyone to see and it was SO COOL!
They had a huge show with all the Disney characters and of course PIRATES! The music, dancing, costume and overall energy of the night was phenomenal. Then at the end of the show Mickey suddenly appeared at the top of the ship and zip lined across the crowd right as the fireworks started going off. Seeing a firework show out at sea was awesome! Right when the fireworks finished Beckham was like "okay Im ready for bed!" I was too so we walked back to our room. Brielle continued to dance the night away with Chase. He said she was one of the last people dancing until it was over. Pirate night was our favorite night on the ship!
