Beckham's Class Field Trip

I have always loved going on field trips with my kids. It gets even more fun the older they get! This field trip is a huge deal for the 3rd grade at Edgemont. The kids get to take the Front Runner up to Salt Lake, go to the Clark Planetarium and do all sorts of cool stuff! We barely made the train on time. The other classes missed it and had to go on the train about 15 min behind us.

We had to walk about 15 min from the Front Runner station to the planetarium once we got to Salt Lake. It was record low temps here in Utah the day of his field trip. I think it was about 20 degrees outside and our faces were numb about 5 min into our walk.

Loved this mural of some of the Rock N' Roll "Greats". The kids had no idea who they were but the parents and teachers did! 

Arrived with our group in tact at the planetarium! 

We started out in the Dome Theater to learn about the stars and constellations.

It was super cool! 

Next, we headed to the IMAX theater to see Panda's which was a 3D documentary about Panda's in China. It was pretty amazing and the Planetarium was kind enough to let us eat our lunches in the theater while we watched the movie.

Waiting for the train home with his buddies: Benji, Max and Ty! It was such a great day and reminded me once again how blessed my kids are to live in this area. They go to such an amazing school with so many opportunities to learn and grow.
