Christmas Day

Its hard to believe Christmas Day is here! Beckham is our early riser but promised not to wake Brielle up until 7:00. He gets so excited on Christmas Day to go into her room and wake her up... the only day of the year she loves being woken up by her brother ;) He got in bed with us around 6:30 and said "Merry Christmas!!" right when he crawled in bed. We snuggled until 7:00 and started our morning! Kids had a blast opening presents and exploring their stockings.

Chase ended up going skiing with Devan around 8:30. The kids wanted to stay home and relax. So it was great for Chase and Devan to get some brother time up on the mountain! I made our traditional Christmas morning monkey bread and bacon. They look forward to it all year! We turned on a Christmas movie and put batteries in their laser tag guns from Grandpa Gary. They played a few rounds and luckily no one fought or got hurt ;)

We went to the movies this afternoon and saw the second Jumanji. We saw the first one last year and loved it. This year was just as good! There was fighting in the parking lot on the way back to the car after the movie. Both kids were sent to their rooms by Chase. It was talked over, worked out and now they are all sledding while I sit here warm in my new heating blanket.

When Chase got home from skiing this morning he said he couldn't believe how blessed he was. Blessed to be in our home, have a beautiful family, to live where we do, to have our health... life really doesn't get any better. He is so good to me and I love when he tells me he is happy! I love how much he loves me and the kids. It reminded me how much Heavenly Father has blessed my life and how, I too, am so lucky. Chase and I both worked hard to get where we are and build the kind of life we did not have growing up. I am so grateful for this Christmas I have had with our little family and am so grateful for my Savior and His birth.
