Christmas Ornaments

I love creating with my kids! We have done lots of fun art projects together and their favorite is always our Christmas ornament night in December. This year I ordered a wood burning tool, some wood slice ornaments and acrylic paint pens. I love watching their minds explore and the intensity of their facial expressions as their idea comes to life.

This is Beckham's mountain scene ornament. He really wanted to do a night sky and I love how colorful he made it!

This is Brielle's bird perched on her branch. She also chose a night sky but with purple. Isn't it beautiful?! I love how unique they turned out. We will be making more throughout the month!

The wood burning tips were hard to figure out at first but then we got the hang of it.

Such focus!

This is my snowy mountain scene. I used to moon stamp tip on my tool for the moon and it turned out fantastic!

A few other things to note today...I have Trader Joe's to thank for supplying my kids teachers gifts this year. I love making things look festive and pretty.

And I got a visit from an old friend today! Shana Gardner! We were in the same ward right after we both got married. She was always the sweetest and funnest person. We kept in touch through social media and she recently moved to Tennessee. She was in town and came by this morning to catch up over tea. Im so grateful for friends you can pick up with right where you left off. She wants me to come visit her down south and I am hoping to go out this coming summer.
