Santa at Riverwoods
Even though the kids are 8 and 11, they still love seeing Santa! We have had the "Santa Talk" but they still choose to believe. We are spoiled to live very close to the best Santa around these parts. After they saw Santa we walked around for a bit and went into Blickenstaff's to check out all the cool toys and candy.
A Random Act of Kindness: After we left the toy store we walked a few stores down to Called to Surf (one of my favorite stores ;). A few moments later a worker from Blinkestaff's came in and said "Excuse me, but a man in Blickenstaff's just asked me to bring this to you and your kids." It was a strip of Zots candy and the kids were thrilled! He had bought them just for us. Just before the worker had come to find us Brielle said "Mom, I just want a treat! I haven't had a treat in so long. I need sugar!" Ha ha! It was a tiny christmas miracle and we felt the true spirit of Christmas in this season of giving. It reminded me how the smallest acts of generosity, even a smile to a stranger, go such a long way.
